I made a stuffing for them once with diced apricot and raisins in the stuffing. Made a spicy plum chutney and reduced balsalmic glaze for them. I bet I have pictures in my older phone . It’s been a while but I remember they took NO time to roast and only turned up the heat a tad at the end just to get the skin crispy

I think coturnix quail taste better than chicken, if both are cooked with little more than salt and pepper. If using hot sauce, barbecue sauce, other strong sauces, or stronger spices, there's not much difference in flavor.

That one would make a fine belt. I made one out of an egg-eating black rat snake. It was long enough to make a belt big enough for a short 300# man.

Pluck those quail to eat them.
Blanch them ungutted on 140 degree water, no higher temp, for about a minute or or so then the feathers come right out and you can gut after plucking.
You get what fat they have under the skin and the skin is good.
We have 4 in the freezer going to eat soon.
The eggs are really tasty too.

Are those ones poisonous? We only have garter and grass snakes up here. nothing poisonous other than the odd plant here. Not scared of snakes' at all but don't like the idea of things like rattle snakes. Natures coward ambushing you and poisonings you leaving you to die like a coward. I'd much rather be viscously mauled by a grizz, like a real man !
