Bow season is in full swing here. I went to ranch today and a big place next to mine is owned by an out of state guy. They will be here in full force soon if not already here. I seen a few hunters this morning on another place that borders mine. On the other side some family company lease that place for bow hunting and will also be here. They rent the old ranch house all year long and have it tied up also, they are from the deep south the others are from the east. Lol Doesn't till next weekend but things are gearing up.
I would no way lease mine out I would rather have family and I use it and enjoy it.

Oh I wish season was here have 2 weeks to wait yet. Snowy you are thinking right. Enjoy your own with the family. I was out there on a family ranch to hunt prong horn which was nice. But since then another family member took over and leased it to an outfitter so no more hunting for us normal hunters.

I was told ours opened last Friday. I don't bow hunt, so I am not sure. I used to bow hunt, but have never been big into deer hunting. I have hunted birds and waterfowl a lot more.

I have been bowhunting since I was a teenager and living with my parents back east. Moved to Montana in 81'. of course chased elk unsuccesfully then in84' a frien got on on me about I should be bowhunting for elk. So I practiced calling , drooling like a mad dog figuring out the diaphram turkey call, but once I got it Man oh man the bulls and screaming and all it was great I think I saw 1 other hunter and I knew the guy. Next year I called in a dentist and two chiropractors in addition to elk, Since then the number of otherr hunters has increased to the point in some places it's as bad as rifle season. I hunt pretty much all public due to all the leasing around here. Lucky with where I live , I still have a spot or two I can get to

Yep, getting tougher all the time so many rich got it all tied up. I have a few places I go but longggg walks in to get there. The one place was bought up beside from a guy from Minnesota he brings half the state of Minnesota with him. I better stop there or I will regret what I want to say. Lol

Just finished planting food plots in MO hoping for rain now to get things rolling sprinkled some yesterday but sill dry ground. I fed the chiggers a fine meal of my ankles and ran into some tiny freckle size ticks no telling where they moved into. eek
