Easy metering H380 is high for that . I fumbled around looking for a objective number and I think it was about 100 fps if you had a 70 degree drop in temp from the temp you developed the load (70 degrees down to 0 degrees ) . I have some 4064 but it is awful to meter . Any H 380 users here ? For my 243 that I pack for wolfs .85 gr Sierra HPBT

4064 and varget are good for what your after.

H4895 also temp stable , just not so easy to meter

Is H4895 available?

I thought imr 4350 changed with temp.
But later changed that thought to altitude change.
Never had one those cronnies like you guys tho.

I ditched H380 for Varget in my 22-250s because of its temperature sensitivity.





Another good option would be Vihtavori or however you spell it N140 or N150 . They’re supposedly pretty temp stable.

I guess I will suck it up and spoon out the 4064 into the scale .thanks guys for the help. My budget says use what you already have .

Ever since I went to Vihtavuori powders I haven't went back. Extremely clean burning powders. Temp stable, which is especially important in my waterfowl shotgun loads

Used to be they were much more expensive than regular Hodgdon powders, now the prices are about the same

price is up but it works well in so much I run it in 223, 30-30, 308, 30-06 and looking at a 45-70 load work up currently

I use it for 243 and also my 375 H&H have not seen any issues with accuracy at distances I shoot although its rarely a 70-degree swing maybe 40 degrees
