bowhunter27295 by all means get every vaccine you want. Just leave your neighbors alone. If they swell up and die you will be protected. The disease I worry about is TB.

I would add Buzzard,,,, without repercussion !! Yes Grit, that does make sense, as a military brat I had alot of vaxs before moving to Spain, already had the normal ones of the 60s My comment was made on the definition of freedom, Not about vaccines, freedom is a choice, be ruled by someone or not

"freedom lovers". Freedom is limited and in many ways an illusion. You're right. We should just give up and submit to our masters.

Religious exemption is a good option for some vaccines. Covid, flu, hepatitis, etc. I do it for seasonal flu vaccine and covid jabs.
I do consider it a world wide success on how polio has basically been eradicated by vaccinations. And many other diseases were almost completely eliminated and are now controlled due to vaccinations.
If all vaccinations are made optional, it will not end well at all. Vaccination schedules need to be revisited and revised but not eliminated. I hear the freedom thing but there is a give and take to be able to maintain the level of safety we enjoy everyday in America.
I don't think anyone should be strapped down or incarcerated for not getting certain vaccines, but if they claim religious exemptions then they need to be going to a religious school or home schooled.
We are gearing up for a measles issue in Guilford county where I work due to unvaccinated illegals. Now think about that. We are having to deal with a possible measles outbreak amongst unvaccinated individuals. Think about the drain on any municipalities resources with unvaccinated people having to get "free" treatment due to not getting a simple vaccination. That unvaccinated person is costing me money due to them not being vaccinated. Think about the mothers that could be carrying any disease and passing it onto their newborn. Or miscarrying due to carrying the disease but being immune.
Were we tyrannical when we quarantined immigrants at Ellis Island when the country was first being populated? Or were we being careful to not have the same disease issues in this country that we were running from the country we left.
If all vaccinations are optional, we will have more serious disease outbreaks in this country. That is a fact and one I will be embarrassed about as an American. Talk tyranny all you want, but if some mandatory vaccinations keep us from having third world disease outbreaks in America, I have zero problems with it. If you can be honest with yourself swap topic and use the same argument to support it and see how it sounds. I suspect you will realize how much it sounds like some of the worst thing to have happened in the world. The good of the many is more important than liberty of the few right. Pay into their hand give up and support loosing more freedom. Why because the same people pushing mandatory tax are the same that paid for and sent all the 3rd world all around the country to spread the very thing causing the issue. Along with cultural issues/clashes and the rest of the havoc that goes alond with it. I mean beter ban x type of gun its for the greater good. If it just saves one life.

So let's let polio, small pox and TB vaccinations be optional. The freedom that will give will be just peachy. Everyone will benefit from it. I mean it's stupid to want to prevent a disease in your population than it is to let it run its course. There is no logical comparison of guns to diseases. A very weak argument. Bullet holes are not contagious and able to jump countries on a plane or crossing a border. I personally like walking around in a country without fear of the general population having a third world disease. Guess I am silly considering how wonderful it is to be American. There are vaccinations that are useless in my opinion. But there are some that would be honestly embarrassing to me as an American to think they would become a problem again. But let's stop what works and hope for the best or just watch as people get infected with very preventable diseases that we will have to treat with tax money and resources that could have been prevented with one shot. Makes all the sense in the world. We can adjust without wasting more tax dollars. I wonder if I will hear from the tax hawks about useless money being wasted on illegal immigrants due to preventable diseases? They will be treated by our medical system at mine and your cost if you are a tax payer. They will not be left in the streets to die and bloat. It will cost a lot more money that we don't have to treat rather than prevent. But hey, it's all in the name of freedom, right? After all, freedom does have a cost. Even if it is your tax money going to treat some DA who wanted to be free and not get a TB vaccination. And I know from work how much man power is required to treat someone with TB. It is immense and very resource consuming. FREEDIOM!!!!! I didn't think you could look outside your limited box and mind set. Few can. If your family is vaxed and it works you have nothing to worry about. Tax money is bait and switch. Ship them out would.be the cheapest thing. They will be an expensive drain the entire time they are hear and be another multi generation welfare segment tahr breads like rabbits with 3rd world values and culture.

Haha,
Your good but tainted Bowhunter27295, freedom is a choice,
we all lose freedoms every year, what this country was founded on.
I am not sure I understand your stance on vaccines, when you
promote RFK, maybe I miss read that.?
As for me and my family, it's kinda a no nonsense deal,
we are all military in some form and are used to being in 3rd
world countries, my families Vax index is far superior than most Americans
That is a mandate for servings or being a brat . That is the exception to the rule tho, and yes freedom is not free
Ever think about your freedom loss with the seat belt law ??
Not wearing one does not endanger your neighbor, just yourself.
Again it's a choice

No bowhunter its not an im smarter than you thing at all. Just an observation about how your thought process is. I was also correct in how I though you would react and respond. one thing I am is not smart, lucky, dumb, blessed, ya i could agree to any of those. Smart absolutely not. Just Have the ability to learn from stupid mistakes. You can go back and read where I stated some vaccines are stupid and need to be made completely optional. Some however are not and need to remain mandatory. I am saying a compromise needs to be reached to be more sensible. You however are saying no mandatory vaccines period. Who's in what box? To start with you stating vaccines are mandatory and so are starting off on a false pretense. There is not a single requirement for mandatory tax. So you are infact wanting to demand other conform to your beliefs on what is good for everyone. Right or wrong is irrelevant on views if its good for everyone or not is irrelevant. The fact is personal choice over what goes into one's body wins period. Ther is alway government creep and power grabing. Remember the attempts to make untessted and unapproved can't sue the manufacturer covid shots mandatory? Ya I knew several people thw gave in to pressure to take a shot they didn't want to keep their job. Several have heart issues not. Sometime freedom means you have to stand up for others rights and freedoms even if you dont like what they are doing. Freedom is scary sometimes some time it can make you mad.

It's important to note that BCG is not 100% effective and may not prevent all forms of TB. Additionally, the vaccine may not be suitable for everyone. Consult with a healthcare professional to determine if BCG is right for you. And you want it to be mandatory?????????

Well, if your dog is not vaccinated and gets exposed to an animal that is confirmed positive for Rabies, the dog is either held at a vets office in quarantine for 6 months at your expense or the dog is put down.
I ran the rabies program for Davidson county and cried with several people who just forgot to get their dog or cat vaccinated and had to surrender them to be put down, BY LAW.
Maybe we should put people down if they are exposed to TB or polio? Sure would make sense and save the tax payer a lot of money.
Rabies is transmitted by the saliva in the bite of an actively infected animal. I don’t get why they can’t test for the amount of rabies vaccine left in the dog like they do for people. Most dogs that have been vaccinated and boosted are good for the rest of their lives. Yet they are required to get boosted every few years. $$$$ I’m guessing.
