So, I had tires mounted and balanced on my old truck. I noticed I needed to replace the pitman and also replaced the idler pitman assembly on the passenger side also.
Okay my question since I changed those pitman arm and idler I will need to have front end aligned, Right?

What vechile? Idler? Chevy? They shouldn't affect the alignment. Just make sure your steering wheel is straight.

What is wrong with your pitman arm?
What is a "idler pitman assembly on the passenger side"?

Align it every time you change out front end parts. Align it every 20000 miles. Front ends are junk on the new trucks that don't have a solid axle. If you drive off road align it often.

I would since you replaced the idler.

Neither of those will change total toe, at least in theory. So you're not going to wear our tires due to excessive toe-in or toe-out if it was fine before. They will, though, affect steer-ahead, so your steering wheel won't be straight after replacement, probably.

I'd just get it aligned.

Ball joints were OK they were a problem on some of those Toyotas.

Yep got the break light fixed. I'm embarrassed to tell you what it was. Lol There is two fuse boxes and It was a bad fuse.

I'm sure I wouldn't have to have it aligned but it might be worth the money to do so since I changed parts up front. The splined pitman arm on the drivers side that attaches to the gear box drive it what concerns me. The new part didn't have any alignment lines notch or anything to match the spline stud that come off of the gear box.

There was some play in those joints so just replaced. The entire front end now is all new in the last 4 years.

I'd definately align it. The tolerances on replacement parts can cost you a lot of tire life and tires are expensive.

If not now line it up if or when new tires are involved it’s a cheap investment.

So I went and tried to get the front end aligned this morning. The tech told me that there is very little play in tie rod and company rules they won't align until that is replaced.
Outside he told he wouldn't be afraid to drive and not bad at all and won't hurt anything to drive it the way it is.

So my other question is. When I replaced the pitman are on drivers side and the idler pitman assembly on the passenger side, I got the steering wheel out of align. It is a quarter of the way off of straight.

So do I have to take both pitman arms off of the tie rod assembly to get steering wheel back straight?? Or can just one side be done to make it better??

The project has been a learning experience which is good but a little overwhelming. Lol

Any help I would appreciate very much. Thank You.

Pull the wheel center it the way you want it if everything lines up tighten the nut is the easiest way.

Sometimes you can wiggle the steering wheel off or use a pry bar some have threads you put bolts in to pull the spline upward.
