I believe he made it so the rifle broke down to fit in his bag a screwdriver was mentioned at one time, Then there would be no videos of him walking around stiff legged with a limp due to the rifle being shown his pant leg . We know the shooter is not a rocket scientist ut why not just leave it on the roof if going g to ditch it anyway. It will be interesting to see what come out and how our individual theories pan out. You don’t think the barrel would do the same thing in his pants? Thenexplain how he ran away with no rifle in his hands.

Conservatives argue guns are for hunting, self-defense, national defense, because that’s how they use them.
Leftists insist guns are for killing people, because that’s how they use them.

I heard reporting that he had messaged a friend something about retrieving the rifle. It was just a small blurb in the whole press conference but I caught it. Makes me think he had plans to make it disappear as evidence. A pretty dumb move if you ask me.

The barrel and action would impact the leg like that so where was the stock if it was still attached to the action?

Yes law dog it would. But he was not limping and awkward on his exit across the roof or his drop from it or across the grass. So safe to assume it was not down his pants. You said broke down and in his pack. If it would fit in his pack what not bring it in in the pack instead of the uncomfortable awkward walk in with it down his pants? So in the pack makes no sense either. I didn't see a gun in his hands in the clips I watched so questioned how the invisible gun made it from roof to woods. I didn't watch yot traps link she says its visible in his hands but will take her word for it that it was in his hand at least on the roof.
Why are you comming off so defensive. Must have something to prove i guess. Man your thick so where was that gun at then when he RAN AWAY is my point it’s probably in the bag how could a full rifle not be visible and he’s not limping is my question.

Ok and back to being thick. If it would fit in the pack why walk in with it down his pants and not in the bag to begain with. . What to keep dancing in a circle.

I think you guys are trying to hard to spot a rifle barrel. He had the thing wrapped in a dark colored towel. You can see it on the roof, and you can see it when he lands. When he runs off, he is most likely holding it close to and inline with his body so as not to be obvious. He's running away trying not to be seen, or have the gun seen... not charging into battle with drawn gun.
Proudly banned from the NTA.

I'm from Ontario Canada, rural country. Everybody and their grandparents have firearms in their house/shed or barn, MOST ARE registered, some might not be(who knows). My question is: In a country like USA where people praise the fact they can "open carry" .. why are there so many mass shootings?? Am I missing something here? I hear a lot of folks here (trapperman). "won't leave the house without the gun on my belt for protection" is it that bad in the States that you actually feel naked without your firearm by your side in public ? BTW, I am totally all for open carry and protecting what's yours... I'm just curious to know if it's that bad that Americans feel the need to carry at all times incase "shtf" I would bet less than 5% of the whole population legally carry a firearm. So if you believe it's like the wild wild West from what you read it here, your info is wrong. Some people are just prepared but never really in danger. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

That question will eat at you for years. Mass shootings happen because most of them target places where you cant carry or amongst people that arent usually armed.

The thing is, the law doesn't protect the average person. Using a firearm is a big deal. Use it, even to protect yourself legally, most likely involves getting arrested first and going through the process to prove your innocence. Very costly and very stressful. Many times not fair. It's a trade off I guess

The bad guy will pick you off first. Secondly, Most of the "mass shootings" take place in gun free zones, like college campuses for example. Personally, I "praise the fact that I can carry concealed". States which allow concealed carry have lower crime rates because the criminals know it and can't tell if you are an easy mark or not. There are many cases where a mass murderer was stopped by a concealed carry citizen. Without those people, they would have had to dispatch many more ambulances or hearsts. (Sling blade reference for ya.)

Okay, Fudd. Not if you see the bad guy first, you forget the head up and on a swivel part. I'm quite sure that I've deterred more than a few by seeing and letting them know that they are seen well in advance. But then again I can't be sure because they were probably hiding their guns. My philosphy that I learned years ago working uniformed security in some pretty rough parts of town is be the hard target, carry yourself as the hard target and trouble tends to pick an easier target. But you go ahead with your mouse impression.
