I got a Predator caller and trapping aid. It is a battery operated round ball. It says on the box it was made by Garth Carter of Wildlife Calls Inc, Does anyone know anything about them? This one says dying rabbit on the box. Did they come with different sounds? When were they made. I did a search and came up with mostly nothing.

They must be rare if no one knows about them.

Does it look like a christmas ornament, camo colored?

I saw one of those at the Ba$$ Pro in Springfield Mo. in the early 90s. Camo colored, looked like a Christmas tree ornament. As I remember, the instructions recommended hanging it in a tree to use. I took it out of the box and played with it there in the store. Just one sound, kind of a pitiful rendition of a dying rabbit or rodent. Seems like it was around 20 or 30 bucks back then. Wasn't a big hit apparently, as Bass Pro moved them out and never had them again.
At the time I was using mouth calls and casette tapes with a Walkman.
Held out and bought a first generation FoxPro for as I remember around $300. Glad I did. Still got it.

I believe that was made by Garth Carter, the founder of Huntin' Fool. He was an avid hunter, trapper and predator caller and a Utah Conservation Officer (that I worked with a few days way back when).

Used to see doe bleat calls that are similar to what you describe. They were in a can, I recall. Also borrowed a Hoochie Mamma cow elk call one afternoon. Called an entire herd of elk cows to me.

Had one in the late 80s....coon calling machine.

There were two sounds, the rabbit and a electronic bird chirp sound. The electronic sound was great for cats and fox.

I had the bird chirp.

I can remember some being out in the mid 1980's, but I can remember the name of them. I am not sure if I ever even saw any of them. I never had any back then.
