Cubs just need 1 more win to secure a playoff spot..would have rather had them win the division for bragging rights,, but the playoffs are a whole new season. And as crazy as baseball is,, anything can happen.
Detroit is still looking good though…
I personally would like to see a cubs/detroit or a cubs/yankees World Series.

The Phillies clinched their division and are breathing down the Brewers neck for the best record in baseball. It is good to see the Cubs doing well.

The Phillies beat the Dodgers last night. I love to see anybody beat the Dodgers. It would be nice to see the Cubs back in the World Series again.

Cubs vs Tigers would be great. As long as it's not the Dodgers or Phillies in it for the NL or the Astros for the AL I'm pretty much good with anything. Right now I'm just hoping for my Rockies to get 1 more win so they don't tie the White Sox for worst record in modern era.

Pretty decent right now,,, but unfortunately we know their track record for success in the playoffs.

That was mostly with the manager that now heads the Cubs. If it was based on individual talent and not team play the Cubs would be a lock.

This could be their year!

Brewers bull pen has some injuries and also some getting outs issues the last few weeks. Hitting has been inconsistant as well. The Rangers have the lowest ERA in the majors and it showed up when the mostly young brewers hitters were trying to string some productive at bats together. Phillies look tough right now even without Wheeler.

Since the all star game Brewers are 36-19
Cubs are 28 and 25. They need to get back to early season form to do much damage.

I don’t disagree,,,brewers got hot at the right time..
The pitching for the cubs is pretty solid.. it’s the bats that fell silent..pretty crazy that the whole blasted team fell into a hitter’s slump.
The way pca was hitting, he was on pace for 50 homers,, Suzuki was definitely making a run for the RBI record,,,then, just like that, they can’t hit a beach ball off of a tball stand.

When I was a kid I had the misfortune to have to grow up in Chicago,Northwest side. I followed the Cubs, back when Ron Santos,Ernie Banks and those guys were playing. Every year same thing they do good untill some little thing like "a pigeon looked at me" or some nonsense and they would flub every game after. Big start and clumsy let down. Don't watch any of those sport games now

And what's with the Yankees this year? With all the money they spend on their players, they should be way out front in the league.

The Dodger's Ohtani makes almost as much as the total the cheap Twins owners pay their entire team.
