[quote=yotetrapper30]PaSkinner, if you think Billy Graham and Jeffrey Dahmer are on the same level, then I cannot even carry on this conversation with you. Which one was better? Because Billy would agree with me. Degrees of sin are just our finite human perception faking us out.
. If dahmer had you hemmed in closet would you turn the other cheek?
I think you misunderstand the concept.
The core message is to refrain from taking personal revenge or seeking to get even. A Counter-Cultural Act: In first-century culture, a slap was a public dishonoring intended to belittle someone's honor. By turning the other cheek, Jesus challenged this focus on personal honor and the pursuit of worldly justice ..it's about not flipping out over insults. Not about self defense in the case of real aggression.
Right now Im having amnesia and dj vu at the same time. I think Ive forgotten this before.

What if the puppy was told, and it could actually understand, it would be lit on fire if it ate it? Puppy wouldn't eat it. Dogs are smarter than that.
an omnipotent God would know the results he is all powerful and all knowing so he created all the bad things in the world knowing full well the pain, suffering and chaos that would ensue
.. a sadist at the very least

All part of free will. I understand your stance have had those thoughts along my journey at different points also . I can't rember or articulate what or how I over came them or what the answers were unfortunately. Memory problems were bad enough after the head injurys, but MS is taking it to a new level at times

For me personally, the battles I deal with daily now are for the most part by my own doing. By living a life that was not virtuous, but rather benefited me. I was/am a real selfish POS.
I hear folks all the time say they wouldn't change a thing about their lives; boy would I. I did a lot of stupid ignorant stuff and said a lot of hateful and hurtful things to people that loved me the most. Had I chance to do it over again; I would. Driving nails into people hurts and leaves a mark; but it will heal eventually.....but there is always a scar, and those scars is what you have to deal with as the days turn into years.
Whatever Vinke is going through I wish him the best and am praying for him.

Free will and an omniscient Being aren't in contradiction. Knowing doesn't equal forcing us to sin. If I know you are going to do something stupid tomorrow but I let you, is it my fault? Liberals might say yes, but most of us understand personal responsibility.

Maybe if he could type a complete sentence it would help to understand.

I suppose that depends on what the something is. If I know you are gonna cheat on your wife tomorrow, and do nothing, no one cares. If I know you are gonna massacre a hundred children in a school and do nothing? You're dang right that makes it my fault nearly as much as yours. Oh, but I forgot, the man that murders a hundred children is no worse than the man that cheats on his wife.
