Maybe we Americans can do our part by sending off emails and passing the word that we won't buy certain products. Please watch the video to see which ones.
Colt Canada looks to be the only option to destroy seized firearms taken from the Canadian people.
CZ owns Colt Canada
the police and Canadian military want nothing to do with the destruction of citizens property , lack the industrial capacity to do so or both. although since a lot of the effected citizens of the ban were military members they may be saying not us for a bunch of reasons.
and the Can Gov already put anyone else with the license to handle these firearms out of business.
so the sole player left is CZ/Colt Canada
will Colt Canada do the deed or say no thanks?
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
I have a CZ 75 Compact on my short list to buy. If they help facilitate Canada's antigun nonsense in any way, I'm done with CZ and Colt, which would suck, but there's really no other choice.

What about the fine ones already owned. Gonna get rid of them over this? Asking for a friend.
I have been putting off buying a cz shadow 2 and dan Wesson 1911 cz owns Dan Wesson. I have other thing more important for the cats than handguns I want but dont need. Those goals have been being hit and having cas to blow on a few toys is comming fast . I think i will send off some emails to.cz and I thing everyone else should as well. Let them know their customers are paying attention.
Selling cz the one we have will not affect the company. I see no point in that. But I can buy a Springfield 1911 instead.

Here's how I'd answer someone posing that question to me that's looking for an excuse to keep supporting anti-gun companies. (Although I find it hard to believe a gun company doing this).
I'd say.....they fooled me and they already have the money from the sale if this product but will never sell me another. If you're looking for an excuse to continue supporting them, look somewhere else.
There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.
I think they would be cutting their own throats if they did anything that was anti gun. I know they would with me
Yeah well,,,,,,,CZ is making plenty of money selling their stuff in Europe. All the European military s are getting gunned up with this Ukraine thing'; CZ has a military line of products also, machine guns and such. Don't know if it would hurt them that much as far as revenue is concerned. Remember Smith and Wesson tried something similar a few years ago. Just saying............

No need to, imo. They are already bought and paid for and getting rid of only hurts yourself not the maker. At best you get a feel good pat yourself on the back if you're that type.
However, moving forward I would seriously consider just who gets my money and not just the named culprits but the entire corporate family as the money all ends up in the same place. Matter of fact hopefully the problem can be corrected at this early stage by letting every member of corporate family know your feelings on the matter and what is expected of them.
BTW, if they realize the error of their ways and correct course by all means congratulate and reward them for doing so.

Maybe, but the US is still a huge market and a very public one. We gotta do what we can where we can.
I called cz usa and the guy i talked to knew nothing about it from the company only just saw this video this morning. Granted its cz usa not Canada. But the guy I talked to also didnt care and tried to down play it if it were true . Like they need government permission to sell guns so have to do what's asked.
So not a thing confirmed and just spreading rumors at this point.
it does seem that Canada is trying hard to neuter it's self as a power.
Colt Canada , which is operated by CZ in an odd private operation of a public resource
Colt Canada does not make guns for civilians , only for the Canadian Military and possibly some for Canadian police.
Canada realized , it couldn't kill 100% of it's firearms industry if it were to keep an Army , but it came close and so they have an oddly privately run Gov only sales weapons manufacturer , run by a successful foreign arms manufacturer.
the question is would the backlash on CZ be bigger than it's Canadian contracts
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
the reason I ask is , they did the weapons destruction for either Oregon state or Oregon city police , and took heat for it.
they had the metal cutting equipment and could do the work , so they choose to do the work.
they took heat for it and that was less controversial guns than this. that was anything seized during arrests , drug warrants and similar.
Benchmade put themselves on my permanent do not buy list with that. Perhaps I may reconsider were they to publicly acknowledge their wrong and make amends. And I did own a knife of their's that I really loved and would love to replace as it is one of many that got dropped or left behind and lost. I won't even buy a used one.

In an ideal world all arms makers would refuse to do business leaving Canada without a source of new arms. Kind of like they would do to their own citizens. But we know that the arms industry is full of prostitutes. Kind of like the 2A community.
