End of season deals on fruit trees can be great. That's how I bought most of my apple, pear, peach, nectarine and plum trees. I recommend buying them and putting them in this Fall. Fruit is great and makes you much more self sufficient. Don't forget grapes, muscadines, berry bushes and nut trees.

A half dozen fruit trees and a freezer full of game meat will be easy. Plant them where you can just shoot out a window. Watch baby peach trees. Deer will eat them right up.

Orchards are tough in the south. Make sure you get the right trees for your area. Dont count on box stores to stock the right ones

Shoot soil is the main issue for me , most of the mees around here is red clay
