If trapping near the water you can always use a drowning slide wire, like for mink or beaver. Since we don't discuss dispatch here other than slide wires i'll send you a PM

If not using a body grip or a submersion rig, best thing is a catch pole. PM me if you have questions or just ask on this forum and we’ll discuss it. No, we won't! Dispatch post' are not allowed, use PM only.

Some of you all must not know how to shoot deer either. We can't shoot a coon in the road right a- way so you have to come up with another way to dispatch that animal.

Not sure a pellet gun would do the job. Maybe one of those high-end air rifles that will kill deer. And that might be illegal in the ROW.

They are preferred by a few big number coon trappers here that save their skulls. This one specifically was mentioned. Clearly they work or they would not be an option for these guys. So since they are not classified as firearms, I'd think they would be legal for your unusual situation in Wi.

I got it covered.
But I was told that we might be able to discharge a firearm in the ROW . It was changed I was told because when we had a wolf season no one could shoot a wolf that was trapped in the ROW. I will have to check that out.
