This would mainly be for kids, but an adult might shoot off it. Imagine sitting at 5 gallon bucket height, what do you like shooting off of? I prefer either a two point holder or a clamp, as kids aren't as steady as adults.

I've used something like this.

Curious what recommendations are out there.

easy aim gun rest

I don't have one of these but I see em at Fleet Farm when I'm shopping and they look pretty slick. Probably going to buy one soon

X2 for the big pod. They make a couple different kinds. They are all good. Will last awhile. We use them for coyotes at night. Lots of in and out of the truck. They hold up well.

For kids, I really like the older Caldwell Deadshot (pretty sure that was the name) Anyways, the full upper frame like this works awesome. I have about a dozen of them. Not the best for longevity, but best kid friendly model I have found.

I still use them myself. Shooting Pdogs out at 800-900 meters and hunting for other critters

Here is a knock-off of them on Walmart

We run bogs. Great for kids, adults, guns and crossbows.

My grandkids use a shooting stick thats collapsible. When your sitting on something its not a problem to hold the rifle still. not much room in a pop up blind.

depends how much help the need or how small the kid is.

we shoot deer fairly close so just a bunch of practice and a gun sized to fit them well. that they can handle , we also shoot deer moving and have to walk so a bunch of time 3 position air rifle and then some 22 practice then a few with the rifle or in our case shotgun for some townships.

high end

ball mount to tripod , has a gun mount they also have a clamp
you can have it pointed at the area you expect them to take a shot like a feeder and you turn the tensioner loose then it can be made tight and they go

there are other brands that do the same thing , watch what the thermal guys use at night , they are standing and taking shots to 2-300 yards they can track a moving coyote , they can go hands free on the gun while scanning then unlock and go

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
