Mine recently told me that my lip looks like an "elephants arse". I guess the chew is making that lip pretty tough.

I love the taste of tobacco. Quit smoking Marlboro Reds about 23 years ago. I chew and smoke cigars occasionally now. Not enough for it to get its hooks in me.

So I find it odd up here in Wyoming they call snuff "chew", not dip.

Southern plains , it's a "dip of snuff". When I lived in the midwest , it was "chew".

When I was deployed alongside NATO counterparts, I'd get Swedish snus from the Nordic country guys from time to time. Really like Swedish snus. Wish it was readily available here. There was one that had a bit of a juniper berries taste to it I loved.

I’m a Copenhagen long cut fan myself…. Aaron, there use to be a tobacco store here that sold a Swedish brand named “general” they had a couple flavors they sold.
I had a buddy bring me back some snuff from India… came in a small cylinder style can… it was like your traditional snuff, it was potent…

I gave up the Copenhagen about 12 years ago. Still miss it sometimes!

Had a good trapper friend of mine said he caught a problem 'coon with a pinch of skoal in a dp once... but none for me..
I tried tobacco as a kid a few times.... got sicker than a dog....sports were more important back then. Got lucky.

Stoker's Classic chewing tobacco for me. Never cared for snuff.

Mostly Levi Garrett, but also Beechnut and Redman

Went from Redman Golden/Beechnut/Levi to Wolf Longcut Straight. Quit cold turkey on day at work after buying a 5 can mini log just that morning. Wasn’t planning on it, it just happened. That was about 12 years ago and I still crave it, but know if I take just one chew I might go back. It was heck for about 2 months. I even kept the full cans in my desk for about 3 months before I finally gave them away.

Tman is always running a tad slow for me,,, I just figured it was my internet being sluggish

Red Seal for me if you can find it. Not as potent as Copenhagen. Tried Cope once and got dizzy from it. Nasty stuff. Quit smoking over 50 years ago.

chewed copenhagen long cut for years then gut got bad so switched to cope wintergreen then price here in illinois went to 10bucks acan so switched to husky wintergreen which is 3.75 a can. made by copenhagen not quite as good but for 6bucks saving ill deal with it.

pouches to me is like n/a beer sure it tastes the same but it just aint right......

i will say i miss that original cradboard can with a bronze lid.

Skoal classic wintergreen long cut. Used a skoal non wintergreen flavor they quit making years ago. Don’t even Remember the name. Use it to stop smoking cowboy killers. But dip harder to quit than smokes. Does not matter now at 73 something going to get me

I did the math and my tally shows that I have only started one more time than I have quit. Statistically speaking, not too shabby...

A little advice Cowboy. If it isn't a habit for you yet, nock it off. I've tried quitting a number of times and it's rough. I enjoyed it at your age too, but it turns into an expensive habit quick. Better off spending your money on guns, traps, and women.
