I was in 10th grade when it came out  We thought it was great back then,, and what it really did was make trapping look better to those potentiol antis.

I remember when it came out it sparked a big interest in muzzle loading guns especially Hawkins and reignited interest in trapping It was around the bicentennial fever which also fueled the desire for these things
 With the 250th coming I don't see the same reaction
 Guess the population has shifted intrest
 At the time it was a great movie and I enjoyed it
 I'll rewatch it once a year historically not accurate but entertaining nonetheless the less
 
 Take a Kid Trapping,Fishing or Hunting we need their help and they need ours
