Jerrys going to Arkansas trapping the Tuesday before Thankagiving and is gonna be gone 10 or 12 days so im baking it at an elderly ladies house, apparently for a neigjborhood Thanksgiving dinner. Its big enough to feed the community.lol I dont mind cooking. Iit should be a good time. Ill go to my moms Thanksgiving evening. So what do ya think it weighs and cost? **12 ounce cherry soda for.size reference**

Being it's a Butterball I doubt the stores did a price loss leader deal on it. I say 27.5 lbs and it cost $36

Jerrys going to Arkansas trapping the Tuesday before Thankagiving and is gonna be gone 10 or 12 days **
Of all places to drive half way across country to trap. He must be getting NR license paid for and a fee, to make it worthwhile, unless he’s buying calls on fur this year. 😆. Does he go there annually? If he does, would you pm me the area. I’ve got land there, would like to meet him if close.

My price guesstimate was based on what you can buy aturkey for out to 10 days
before Thanksgiving, if you paid over 20 cents a pound you bought it too early Not down here! I don't think I've seen a turkey here for less than $0.70/lb since I moved here.
Gotta find a way, a better way, I'd better wait
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you

A butterball is .97 at Walmart here. I have never seen a butter ball that cheap. I got off a of brand for .70 and that is about as cheap as they get here.

23 pounds 11 ounces, $15.87
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

All I know is come Thanksgiving day when the kitchen smells like roasted turkey and mashed potatoes I really don’t care what that thing costs or how much it weighed, I would gladly pay that and more to enjoy a couple plate fulls of a magnificent roasted bird with all the sides and fixens. Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Man this is my time of year, our Winco super market has free turkeys with 125.00 purchase or .68 on 1 turkey. When the xmas ads break I'll but rib roast and cut and chamber vac ribey steaks and New yorks. Last year i was getting whole ribs from safeway at 6.99lb, fred meyers 7.99 or 5.99 for whole New York strips and 5.99 at winco for 5.99 for rib roast . Bought 4 whole rib roast 2 from safeway and 2 from Winco, got 3 new yorks from Fred Meyers. If there even 2 dollars a pound more I'll buy 2 times that amount this year.

What market does he have lined out for yotes? Good luck with that. I asked her a week or more ago, what part of AR was worth driving half way across the country for Southern fur”. Must be an enticing flat fee, regardless of quantity trapped.

Jerrys gonna be in arkansas trappin yotes. What market does he have lined out for yotes? Its specialty market. He sells them to a tannery with the feet The yotes in the grain fields are better than the ones in the woods and mnt yotes are not good.

Y’all back off a little bit and don’t distract her. I’m still waiting on what area of AR is worth driving half way across the country for Southern fur. Theres a huge misconception that all southern fur is crap. Hr goes to the grain fields of arkansas and they have really nice yotes.(hes been going 10 years) He also traps southern beaver(mississippi) and makes dang good money..(been going 35 years) There are pockets of good fur in every state. You just have to have the connections to find. Southern fur has bought many vehicles for us and paid our bills over the years. Its a gimmick to get your fur cheaper...if the first quesrion your buyer asks you is " wheres your fur from".. get another buyer. Do what charlie dobbins did once..( according to jerry who trapped with him) ..ask the buyer if hes buying fur or states cause youre selling fur. Yall southern guys are often times getting screwed..all your fur isnt crap.... but yall have been brainwashed into believing all southern fur sucks. Your areas fur might not be giod and the guy in the next county could have fur that grades great.

Youre right..so.e.of the furs good and some is horrible.
There are places where everyone swears that the state has the best fur ever and even in those states there are pockets off inferior fur mixed in with the good. Granted the percentage of good may be higher than in other states but the crap fur is still there i dont care what state youre trappping and theres good fur in the states that everyone falsly believes has all junk fur.lol
Its a myth about southern fur..that all.of ts junk..cultivated by fur buyers in ordeer to get ALL southern fur for less money..even the higher dollar fur.that they may have
The sad thing is most southern trappers that have never been out of their state to trap, so they have nothing tto compare their fur too, buy into the BS and they dont get paid the true value of the fur they have in alot of cases.
