Del Rob....trad archery is so much fun. Longbow...Recurve...Yew Selfbow...and shoot wooden arrows.

Flintahs are the best...if you ask me.

Then ...when you want something different...you get a smoothbore flintah.

I know a bit about archery. So not totally new. A yew self bow would be top of the line. That’s doing it the right way!

Nothing better than the smell of a cedar arrow I hear. Might message you when I get crazy into flintahs. leaning toward a traditions just for learning with. Don’t want to go custom until I learn a bit about them.

Right now, other than the deer rifle.

As “traditional” as I get is, I hunt with a compound bow and an inline muzzleloader which is basically a centerfire rifle you load from the muzzle.

Been hunting a long time and have killed one or two deer. I want to go more traditional. It’s not about killing them anymore for me.


Then of course having a nice well aged whisky at camp afterwards.
