Mine was one of my Shipmates . We have different ways of saying it, none of which can be repeated here. But, yes.

always multiple times a day on the way out the door , ending phone calls , before bed hugs , kissing in the kitchen
made sure to get extra in the last 6 moths she was alive.
now it is how the kids and I end phone calls, love you bye
I tend to live in the movement horrible at talking pictures of the things I would later really like to have pictures of , it would be hard to have too many pictures or too many I love yous in life.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Multiple times a day. I always make it a point to tell her before bed. If I don't wake up, it's the last thing she ever heard from me. If she doesn't, I know it's the last thing she ever heard from me. Well said BandB.

Love to me is shown by deeds and actions. Saying the words becomes routine and loses its true meaning by saying repeatedly. Thats not to say it shouldnt be said, just my opinion on the topic.
A touch, a look or a meaningful embrace are far more important to show ones affection or true feelings to another. This sums up my feelings on it. But my wife likes to hear it, so I go deeper than basic routine words that becom habit and loose meaning when said as a routine. For example I will let her know how much I appreciate something about her or somthing she does at random time. Typically randomly grabbing her gaining compleat control when I have her attention eye contact an feel her body surrender I absolutely love how you _______ YOU look absolutely stunning and there is just something about your smile, eyes, presence, ect that... has_____ effect on me. She needs to know I see the small things and she is known. Not just physical, but mental and emotionally.

Man! What is going on in here?! Some of you hands are going to make somebody a good wife. You start telling your woman that you have feelings and the next thing you know she'll start believing that she's got you all figured out and start testing your blind devotion to her. How is that supposed to work out for the better? Best to keep them in the dark as much as possible. How else is a man going to be able to get her to do what he tells her? Who said any about feelings? Mine is more of a after 29 years and 4 kids that look in your eyes when, you're y z really turns me on. Or hey I noticed the effort your putting in and I appreciate it vs taking it forgranted all the small things she does for me. Everyone likes to k own their effort is noticed and appreciated. And ladies always like being told you find them attractive. I just take it further tahn your pretty to exactly what caught my attention. And I do it while having her complete attention.

Guess some have moved from the circle of caveman squatting around the fire grunting and pounding their clubs. But words need to be backed by actions or they are just words of a player. We don’t say as much after 45 years but we do the things that show it. Seems to be working for us.
I've learned enough thru the years to now know that I don't know enough. KNOWLEDGE IS FREEDOM.
