Never took a deer with a bow, mostly rifle shot and mostly in bow range, no camo either....you play the wind....

I prefer trees but its getting harder to get in a portable. Like a roomy ladder stand.

saddle for me. places i hunt arent really setup for hunting from the ground unless its an evening hunter over an ag field. in the woods around here, you might as well leave your gun at home if you're on the ground

If hunting for the ground, my camo is black now so I blend in to the inside of the blind. Deer see a lot less movement.
