My son comes home this past Monday from school and says someone was stealing his sandwich from his lunch box at PE. Did it Friday and Monday.

Asked if he thought he knew who it was. He said this one kid waits to be the last one out of the locker room and then comes out late. He said he was pretty sure it was him.

I first asked if this kid was in need or was having a rough time in life. He said no. He probably ought to skip a few meals. I said alright then let's do this.

I told him when he was in the locker room to dress out sitting right beside this kid and say absolutely nothing. As close as he can get and bump a few elbows accidental. Get up and put all your stuff up like normal and before walking out, stop in front of him, look him stone face in the eyes for 5 seconds then walk out.

He has had his sandwich in his lunchbox every day since.

No fighting. Just intimidation and silent warning.

At first he said it sounded silly. I told him to just try it. If it doesn't work he will know someone else is stealing it.

When it worked, my son kind of giggled. I told him there are other ways to "get your point across". I call him Intimidator now. laugh laugh

I did call the principal and advised him what was going on. Told him I didn't want to be "that" parent but I was concerned if there had been money or new shoes or something valuable in it. Principal said he agreed with me 100% and was gonna check video footage and let PE teachers know what was going on also.

Had a similar situation with one of my friends having his lunch stolen in gym. I fixed him up a laxative brownie to put in there and it solved the problem.

Many many years ago when I was in 6th grade I was short-er and a fat little guy.
There was an 8th grader that used to sit across from me every day and steal food off of my lunch tray.
Usually a desert cookie, pizza or something east to grab. I finally got my fill of it and told him 2 times to quit taking my food. The third time I seen his hand working it's way across the table and I deeply imbedded my fork in his hand between the thumb and index finger. He quit taking food after that.

People understand pain !

I like the doctoring up of the sandwich ideas.

Intimidation is good and all. I would be okay with him blasting the culprit in the nose also.

Same exact thing happened to me. I think it was 6th grade also. Kid would just reach across the table and take my food. It happened a few days in a row, and I told him if he did it that particular day I was going to stab him with my fork. No more than said it and here came his hand to food tray. Got him right on top of the hand full force dagger style. It left a row of four puncture bleeding on his hand. I do not recall getting in any trouble for it. No one at that lunch table ever messed with my food again.

In third grade we had desks facing each other touching in pairs. Kid across from me was named Danny, and every time my pencil fell on the floor he would wait until my fingers were under it and step on it to pinch my fingers. I told him if he did it again I was going to stab with the pencil. You guessed it next time my pencil fell he stepped on it extra hard and really pinched me good. I left it sticking in his shin buried good. That time I was sent to the office and shown the paddle, but not paddled. I warned him. We ended up being friends years later and once in a while he would show me the black dot tattoo i gave him on his shin.
Nowadays they would probably send me to kid jail and arrest my parents too if that happened.

When I was in grade school, they changed the schedule around so that the Jr. high kids rode the same bus as the grade schoolers. I was in 4th grade, and a boy in the 8th grade would pick on me every day. This went on for weeks until finally I had enough one day. I stood up and busted him as hard as I could in the nose. His nose started pouring out blood, and he started crying like a little baby. It was great, because then his friends started picking on him over being beaten up by a 4th grade GIRL, lol. I got suspended from the bus for 3 days, but he never picked on me again.

Proudly banned from the NTA.

Bother me tomorrow. Today I'll buy no sorrows.
