I think it's a model 12 BV. Or is it the BVSS? I got this in in a trade ~8 years ago and am going to take it to Sportsmans Warehouse to either sell or trade in. I'm trying to figure out what it's worth. I'll likely sell it without the scope (vortex viper hst).

Anyway, which variant is it? Guesses on blue book value?

I think that’s one of those model 12fv that cabelas sold exclusively for like 299 bucks for a few years. I heard they shot pretty good for a 300 dollar rifle.

I am guessing they are going to offer you about a hundred and a half for it.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I think the SS models are stainless steel finished barrels.

the current FV has an accu-trigger
this is a pre-accu-trigger so probably before 2003 manufacture

I think they may have called that a 12 Varmanteer as well I seem to remember them using that name

F = synthetic stock
V=Varmint

if it came as a package with a scope it may have been an FV XP as XP= scope packaged

so yes probably a 12FV or 12FV XP if it came with a scope

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Long time no see. I have had good luck with the Savage rifles. It is good to hear from you. I don't hunt coyotes or shoot prairie dogs any more but the Savage guns I have are accurate enough for me. Denny

Why would you give it away for a fraction of what it is worth?

Donate it to a family member or friend if you just want to be rid of it

160user is probably very close to what one of those places will pay

I don't recognize this model but have many savage rifles. Very accurate for their price point. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a savage.

For those still following. I went to Sportsmans Warehouse offered me $90 cash or $110 in store credit (rifle only). I still have the rifle. wink
