At one time I could buy Doug Fir.
I "think" it came from out West.
Our normal Structural Select is Hem Fir.

"Hem Fir"; hemlock and any other true fir (silver, white, grand, noble, etc). But unknown to most people none of the superior Doug fir makes it into the hem-fir sort.
