The rifle has no will of its own it may be used for evil but there are more good men than evil men and evil will be corrected by good men with rifles.

Yes, they are trying to stop the spread of invasive plants. Starting this spring you will also be required to bag your feces and take them out of the woods with you. They don't want to introduce any corn to the WMA's. grin

Im moving to Wisconsin in the Spring

Good to know all of our other Wildlife management challenges have been solved so we can focus on boot brush signs.

Two piles of wolf crap about twenty feet away! Maybe they were voicing their opinion of the program also!

Yes, they are. Some cities even have urban deer management programs.

Good for you! You can't eat the horns anyway. Movement here has been almost nonexistent. Does are still with the fawns and no scrapes or rut activity.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Today it seems the action has started, nothing moving all week and nothing on camera, today the cameras blew up with bucks running all day long,

It was absolutely flat calm here today and no one that I know saw anything. With a little breeze tomorrow, hopefully things pick up. I have lots of time yet and I am not worried about it.

I think the first round of breeding is done. My cameras became active again 4 days ago now they are starting to go quiet again. Been keeping more involved with the rut this year. Quite interesting.

It appears that this year my focus is how fat I can get from sitting all day and binge eating sandwiches. I have over 50 hours in the stand so far but each day is getting a little more difficult.

In this area its neat how the hunt changes with groups a half mile away. One group isn't seeing deer and a half mile away the others have filled out.

My parents place is only a couple of miles away and our peak days varied 2-3 days too. Strange.

Buddy of mine got his finally today. He saw one other buck today after shooting his. On the way home from the book fair at school just after dark I saw deer on almost every single field I went by so they were out. Saw one decent buck neck outstretched doggin a doe. I’ll be in the stand tomorrow and excited to pull the chip
On my camera when in walk by on the way in. SEnwimd is not great for my two main stands, but I’ll just need to be on watching over my left shoulder to see them coming before they wind me! Managed to catch my first muskrat of the year yesterday so I’m feeling optimistic! Happy trapping and hunting! ScottW
