This was during the Missouri youth season. I’m just getting around posting it.

I haven’t always had access to a scale, but I’m pretty sure this is the biggest bodied white tail I’ve ever cut up. 205 lbs field dressed. And I take out the esophagus.

The deer sure were rutty that weekend. After not getting shots on several does and smaller bucks, this guy came along with 2 girlfriends. He was patient too. Hung out for almost 2 minutes at 41 yards while my 8 year old got the deer in the scope, got comfortable, and waited for the perfect broadside shot.

She was using a Ruger American ranch gen 1 in .223. 55 grain Barnes tsx broke the front shoulder and got lodged in a vertebrate. The suppressor is a sythe Ti. Suppressors sure are great on kids hunts. Don’t have to worry about hearing protection and the recoil reduction is great.
