We go smelting up in Maine...sea smelts..in Brackish water..on the frozen Kennebec river. There are 6-8 smelt camps..for rent on a 6 hour tide ( incoming or out going). That ice goes up and down about 6-7 feet ...lol It is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.
