In figuring this out?

I posted this to a geneology page looking for help. I thought that I'd try here as well.

Alright I got a head scratcher here. Any of my Williams cousins that can help straighten this out?

My g grandmother was Mary Rosaline "Rossie" Williams McLeod. Her parents and grandparents are buried at Elam Baptist. According to Find-a-Grave my Williams line traces from her to Thomas Lafayette Williams to John Giles Williams to William Bryant Williams Sr, buried at Loftin Cemetery in Bashi.
Now for the interesting bit, William Bryant, according to Find-a-Grave, is the youngest son of Colonel, later General, James Henderson Williams who was killed at the Battle of Kings Mountain during the Revolutionary War. He was the highest ranking patriot killed in that battle.
Problem, Find-a-Grave lists Wiliam Bryant's date of birth as 1796 which is 15 years after his father's death in 1781. Also his mother would have been 53 at the time of birth. There is also a 19 year gap between him and his nearest sibling. Further, there is an included biography that list all the children born to Col Williams and Mary Clark Wallace Williams, save for the last two William Bryant and Elizabeth.

I have no useful input for you, so I apologize for going off topic. When I scrolled past your thread I thought I saw that you were looking for advice from gynaecologist. I'm glad I was wrong.
