I make a baked pheasant and mushroom dish that everyone loves. I’ve put it on here before.

You can use that dish with any poultry Big Sam. If you ever decide to try it, post the results here on T-man.

I’m trying waggler’s venison roast recipe right now. I hope mine gets as good as his looked.

It got a little overdone. I think because I use a smaller venison roast, the sirloin tip. Or maybe my oven runs hot. Internal temp was 160°’when I checked it.

I went back out this morning, fourth day in a row. Raven put up four birds, I killed two of them.

We got near the end of a patch of thick stuff and she started acting birdy. One flushed and took off across a winter wheat field, I made a nice shot on that one and she didn’t even come out of the cover after it,she was still working another bird.

I stuffed another shell in and snapped the gun shut right before she flushed the second bird. I missed the first shot, but knocked it down on the second shot.

This is the second bird, I had her retrieve it first.

This is the second bird, I brought her to heel, lined her up and sent her.

Fourth limit in four days.

Oh yeah. They'd just prefer if we had to work a bit harder/longer for a limit. I was only out about three hours this morning. I do unload the gun and let them hunt back to the truck. Sometimes the black dog mean mugs me when she flushes one and I don't shoot. LOL

Eh...wot?
