Probably heard 35 so far. Didn't hear any until 6:50 which is legal light here

Was in stand at 6 dropped my wife off. Had to get my mom's utv warmed up. She's 87 andin stand by7 am. SE winds is chilly. I still sit out in the open. Passed a 14" 8 at. a spike and8 does and fawns. Real orange sunrise. Sailor take warning.

915 every opening day. Was getting hungry.

Sat the first 4.5 hours this AM. No deer near me that I could see. Will go back for a couple hours this afternoon. Several hunters arouond me with one shooting once about 8 AM. lot of squirrels foraging in the chisel plowed corn field.

I never saw a deer maybe tomorrow.

I was really hoping to have to fry up some deer heart tonight but...my 6mm is not very friendly to a doe's heart at 14 yards. Blew it up pretty bad. Maybe tomorrow, eh?

No deer for my boy and I. My brother shot nice 8 point and another in our group tagged a spike. Tomorrow we will be back after them.

The Boy and I each shot a nice doe. I hit mine in the heart running after he and my brother kicked up three to me walking in for lunch and The Boy got his this evening, head shot through the ear holes at 70 yards with his 30-30. Good times at camp but I should get some sleep its midnight and here we all sit around the table being loud and planning where we're shooting the bucks tomorrow lol.
