Well, my new Hoo-Dini hybrid longbow, from Great Plains archery is completed. It should be delivered by Monday, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it! Here’s a couple of photos from the builder. The front of the riser is Cocobolo, and the back is Birds eye flame maple!

Can't see the limbs...but looking like a recurve to me.

Nessmuck, this is a hybrid longbow. A recurve style riser, with extreme reflex, deflex limbs. When strung, it hase a more traditional longbow look, without string contact at the limbs.

Wow, now there is a bow built for hunting! I’m going to need to get one of those in 52” or maybe 54”.

Will be curious what you think of it after shooting?

I will be shooting it in a few days. I am going to start with 50-55 spined 11/32” fir shafts. I have a few made up in 3 different spines, but I need the bow now!

Nothing like getting a new bow as the rut is winding down. Happened to me we with a Centaur. What was your lead time?

About two months, only because I caught him in the process of starting on this bow, so he built it for me. I will hunt next year with the new bow!

I wish I could shoot a real bow again. I am now a lefty by loose of my right eye, I used to be deadly but can not pull any bow back left handed. Nice looking piece of art.....jk
