Been of Tman back in 06 or 08 just before the first web site crash. User name was Skippy. Now had to reregister as Skippy 1. I have to admit I've been lurking for a fair number of years. 77 years old but I'm still running a small ditch line and around a few ponds. My knees are about shot so with the help of my walking stick and almost preplanning each of my steps I'm getting it done. Getting old isn't easy but one has to take what the lord gives you. I do my checks with a Ranger with a full cab and heat so thats a plus. I still cut split and stack my own firewood and between my wife and me we get all the yard work done. Plus we have 2 great grandsons that are more then willing to help out at times.

Good to see you post Skippy! I'm right there with you at 76 years old. Had to cut back my trapping this fall due to some health problems. We do what we can do. I'm still catching some rats and mink. Might have to pass on beaver this year. Good luck to you sir.

I hope your still out there playing with your mink Randy. My little ditch line gets me a few every year.

I'm still after them but I think after tomorrow I may have to go on the disabled list. My wife isn't happy with me for defying the doctor, and after I see the doctor tomorrow, I will probably be done for a good while unless the doctor thinks I can keep going.

I hope the doctor gives you a green light to keep at it. Like I said, I've had to cut way back and watch each step I take. Heck, I even have a rope with knots in it tied off to a tree that I use to help me get out of one of the ditches I run a few traps in.

Doctor wasn't happy. Told me I need to stay off my feet for several weeks. Sent me to the hospital to get blood work done for the infection. Told me I might lose my toe if I don't stay off my feet. I've got 34 traps out I need to pull. Oh well, will start tomorrow.

Same here skippy. I have a field tile that has a tree halfway up the bank. That rope makes it a lot easier. I also have a rope attached to my side by side that I use at other locations. Throw it over the bank and get after it. Man, its heck growing old. Randy hope you get better buddy
