I loved wood shop and all the other assorted classes like that back in the day when a school actually taught you how to be something in life.

Our metal shop teacher caught 4 of us making throwing knives. To say he was unhappy would be an under statement. I made 2 knives at home using dads mill files. Used a electric hot plate to get them red hot then made handles out of the leather from some old shoes. Dad wasn't happy about that either. I still have 1 of them.

One of my projects in Wood Shop was making stretching boards. I remember carrying them down the hall and taking them home and a few students asking me if they were mini surf boards. LOL

Eh...wot?

I didn’t have metal shop in Jr High but 9 weeks of wood shop. We made oven rack pullers and clocks. I made a Sonic the Hedgehog clock and it was so rad but I have no idea what happened to it

In metal shop we all made miniature cannons too.
About ten inches long and smooth bore. We cast the wheels in the foundry.
Only thing we couldn't do was drill out the touch hole.
We all did that when we took them home lol
I remember we would shave down 1/2 ounce sinners for projectiles

Probably not allowed to .ake those in school anymore
wink
