I got some and it is GOOD ! No more Stihl or Oregon for me .

My dealer here sells Carlton chain, any comparison with that brand? I’ve had good luck with it, but it’s always good to have another brand that works good.

Bob ,My options here are few ,no Carlton. Went to city and to a big saw shop and got Archer was cheaper too .

I really like the Stihl chain

We can get good chain from the saw shop at the local logging company.

.This stuff has lasted 3 times longer than stihl .

are you comparing full chisel to semi or low kick back ?

most all the Stihl dealers around me are hardware stores , they only sell "safety" chain the low kick back stuff.

it might not kick as hard but it sure doesn't cut as well either.

how does it file or are you grinding?

Archer saw chain is pricier than I thought.

I had 3 archers from same roll.
It was soft and easy-er to file.
Reminded me of the old old Oregon.
It was not consistent tolerance but no care
for its purpose.
I liked it fine.

It’s pretty limited here also, you go from Carlton that he sells to the cheapest stuff at the farm stores, and they don’t carry the chain for my big husky.

Maybe I got lucky it ! I use it on my 361 Stihl with 24 in bar .Chisel Carry on and like what works for you ! This dinky hardware in town is Stihl only . They used to have some 2X 4 s now I have to drive 60 miles for one .

It’s getting that way here also, that sad part is we keep more building supplies in the shop than most stores do.

Got it on ebay.
The archer USA dist. on ebay name is archerplus.
Stihl is the only good chain I get local.

If I could do-over,
all my saws would be 3/8 .050.
And I'd buy by the roll.

All I can get local is the safety chain. Hit your rakers a few swipes with a file when you put the new chain on and it helps tremendously.
