Running my first trap-line this season, my father used to trap when he was alive and I've decided to follow in some of his footsteps. I've done a great deal of research, but I'm not too knowledgeable on the subject of baits and lures and was hoping for some guidance. I'm located in northwest Arkansas and was wondering if anyone could give me some bait and lure suggestions. I'm getting most of my supplies from fntpost.

A lot of good advice given on here.
Lure, it seems is often misused.

If possible, ask the lure maker how to use a particular lure and also what lure he (or she) recommends for your area.
Not all lures work well in every part of the country due to climate changes.

I am guessing you are after canines . If you take LT Greys advice .which is good.I would recommend getting in touch with Pine Hollow Trapping Supplies Mike Yancy owner he is in Arkansas. He can give you some info on what works up in that area.He also Just Purchased Kansas Trapline Products. When you buy ,buy in small amounts. Until you find out what the ole coyotes like in your specific area.Just remember when you set if he cannot smell it he will not be able to decide if he wants to work it or not .
