Get up with newhouse114. He uses that for carving. He makes unbelievably beautiful pieces.
John 14:6 Jesus answered, " I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

There is no such thing as pre ban ivory as all elephant ivory is banned for sale no matter what the age. You can sell it in the state you live possibly depending on your state rules but it cannot cross state lines for resale. Check your own state regulations. Eskimo ivory is legal to sell if it has been worked in most but not all states. Not quite correct. Forget about elephant ivory for interstate sales. Pre 1972 walrus ivory is legal to sell by federal law, but some states have screwed things up. California, Nevada, Hawaii, and some others. I’d be happy to see what you have and give an appraisal/offer.

Unworked walrus ivory can only be traded from Alaska native to Alaska native unless it is worked.

Slick Pan, you ARE WRONG. newhouse is CORRECT. Otherwise, I would be guilty of aiding and abetting! LOL! I was referring to current walrus ivory not fossil or pre 1972 documented.

I understand that
I’m not looking to sell this piece
Just wondering what its value would be,,,,, if any I buy pre 1972 white for $100/ lb.. Post 1972 ivory trades among natives for between $40 and $80/lb.
