Just heard that South Union township is suing the Uniontown mall because it’s apparently INFESTED with rats.
Has been a dead mall for near ten years except for JC Penney and some flea market type stands

This would never happen at good ol Laurel mall and there’s a farm n feed store there!

Pechin's Mall had rats and possums. They'd even help you taste the food you were buying.

Take your fishing gear into the grocery section and you could fish thru the floor boards.

I remember the creek running underneath!!!

We get calls for those mall rat problems but the mgt. takes the low bidder and the low bidder never resolves the problem. Some of these folks depend upon baits only for treatment.

Those problems require radical trapping first before following up with baiting then some structural repairs to stop the flow in and out. Those pest control folks just don't have the skill and dont want to spend the time needed to do a good job.

Back in '78-79 my wife was working evenings at an Eckerds Drug in the strip mall of our small town in SC.. With only one auto, I would pick her up from work many evenings. As soon as it got dark the rats would come out the drains in the mall sidewalks and run all over. That place was totally infested. Never saw one in the daylight though.

I heard that a Whole Foods store in Silicon Valley Ca. Was closed for a month from a rat infestation. That is a high end grocery store. The valley I live in has a big problem with rats right now, my Jack Russel kills what’s around my place. I’m blaming Beaverpeeler , it started at his place.
