warrior how do you charge for that kind of recovery Not enough, lol. Time and distance. Ask as many questions as I can to determine difficulty, get photos if possible. Estimate time to do, one hour minimum, and drive time, two hour minimum, figure around 100/hr. Provide firm quote based on information given. Most jobs, just laying in yard, can be bagged and loaded in just a few minutes. But advanced decomp, deer pudding, takes longer and includes deodorizing, baking soda carpet fresh. Retrieval from fences and water more difficult.

I moved too many of those critters. It was always much nicer when you could do it in one piece.
Some of the worst I dealt with was trying to find a bullet in a poached animal in advanced stages of decompostion. The ones that you could actually hear the pounds of maggots and beatles crawling in. When you pull those apart and use a metal detector finding bullet fragments and bullets the stench can be unbelievable. And it stick to your clothes and hair. One of the least favorite parts of my career for sure.
