What should I use for skunk bait that won't attract barn cats. I usually use beaver bones w/ some meat on them but I think the cats might like that too.. but also no skunks like the beaver yet either..

Blackies Blend Fur King bait attracts and works for skunks and of course coons too. It is a sweet pleasant smelling bait that I've caught skunks with but never have caught house cats with it. He also made a bait specifically for skunks but I can't for sure remember it's name.It seems like most all the Trapper supply houses still sell this bait.

I caught my first skunk a couple nights ago and then a night later a second one both were on table scraps in a bait station for coyotes.And yep they both sprayed.

Barn cats would be all over table scraps

cultured egg with asafoetida and banana oil will attract skunks without usually attracting ferel cats

How are these not attracting raccoons as well?

The poster was trying not to attract barn cats, he doesn't state anything about raccoons

I start out with cheap dog food and fish oil. Than meat scraps, egg shells.
Back to dog food fish oil, and than a glob of coyote gland lure for them last season
boar coons.

Not too worried bout coon where I'm at. Not saying they're not around but haven't seen them out sign of them in over 5 yrs. That I've been here..
I've tried to go for em but nothing.
