The three lobbed heel is the give away it's a cat. The claws of a cat will often show in mud or snow (especially in snow on slick ice).

It's hard to guess on size without something for scale but I'm wondering if Danny is sneaking a house cat on us:)

Claw marks are rare on cat tracks though not ever seen especially when they need some traction.

The other what track is this looked catty to me. So thought I would post this. Figured this would get even more contention.

Being no expert but being around barn cats a lot. A cat walking there back foot will step into the track the front foot left. So just maybe that's 2 tracks. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. smile

4 lobed pad. All 4 toes same size and pointing straight forward. Round track. Cat

3 lobed pad. Rear toes pointing outwards and smaller than front. Front toes close together with claws pointing slightly in. Oval track. Coyote

I'm going with CAT.

I already posted once, but now that I look at it more (without knowing the terrain the cat was walking on) it very well could even be that the bobcat walked in a set of coyote tracks that existed prior to it walking the same path. I feel like the claw mark is way too defined and large proportionally to the pad to be a cat claw mark.
