Two. We don’t have very high populations here and my mink trapping is mostly blind sets I make at good mink locations along my coyote and cat line. I’m walking to check predator sets and years ago decided to take along some 110s and blind set mink on the waterways and ponds along my line. It’s been a consistent mink taking strategy for me but again we don’t have great populations of mink so I don’t get many in a given season. Sure adds fun to my predator line though. Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Good info Bob...wish we could snare roads. I do have a few culverts along farm roads that have culverts and these produce with a bit of work.

I took 5 one time, I think it was mamma and her litter for the year.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Years back during a very wet period mink were everywhere catching 5 around a dam was not uncommon as was catching them in dry coon sets going cross country. Every puddle in a field had a muskrat house and mink nearby.
The guy I rented from tried to raise chickens close to a small creek in an old barn by the time he ran out of live chickens I caught mink 5 there too.

Quit a few years ago I and a partner had two locations that produced 10 each. This was certainly not normal. I normally take about 2-3 per location and every set is a pocket set. I haven't set a large mink line in years. Back then I probably averaged about 175 traps and ran the line from opening day until everything froze solid.
57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

3,two bucks and a female. Then two years later two juveniles and a buck. Same spot. Not having a big mink population both times I pulled stakes after the third one. Little crick had a ten inch tile line running to a hay field that was always dry. Those mink would run that creek up and go through that tile for mice in the hayfield. That got bulldozed now for two fast food stores.
