Interesting one came on about Nam so I watched it

The narrative person seemed young but the episode was bout critters

He painted with a broad brush on encounters with

Tigers, wild pigs, lots of kraits, and giant spiders, centipedes etc

I did think it may have been sensitized, your input if you don't mind Sir

Vietnam 68 and 69. The worst for me was the red ants and the leaches. The ants would get on you and you could almost hear them count to 3 then they would all start biting you. It was funny as long as you weren't the one getting bit.

I was just asking someone I knew that was in country on the critters

Lot of rats, scorpians and some snakes came out of the lowlands after two months of monsoons and 70 inches or rain. Other than that not much wildlife for me in 1971.

I read an article years ago where a soldier shot a tiger that was stalking one of his team. 3 shot burst killed it fast enough it didn't get to pounce. I think it was in a hunting or gun magazine in the 90s.

The varmints were bad enough, but I was more concerned with the gooks.
