This weather generally has me craving a nice bowl of hot soup.
If I had to pick one, its gonna be smoked ham and bean soup. This yankee always uses great northern beans. Throw in a generous chunk of home raised smoked pork, onion, carrots...and its off to the races.

Whats your favorite soup this time of year..?

I made some turkey soup with tortellini with the leftover bird from thanksgiving. First time we tried it and it was great. But like you said any soup is good this time of the year.

Starting this weekend I'm gonna start dabbling with soups in my instant pot. Potatoes soup, cheesy broccoli, lobster bisque, lasagna soup to start.

Never tried it, but sounds great. I have a mess of frozen walleye filets in the freezer. You have a special recipe for that..?

I made duck soup once from a leftover roast duck. With potatoes and mushrooms. Wish I could duplicate it.

My grandma made some interesting soups. She had one with potatoes and green beans and chopped up hot dogs. The broth was green. Most delicious thing ever

Fish Chowder is my favorite. Halibut, walleye, bass or any other white flakey fish go good.

Seafood bisque is my favorite. It's leaps ahead of second place for me. Got a version of this recipe from someone on here, then tweaked it some. Another excerpt from my cookbook....
