Just heard on the news Wisconsin is going up like 12.00 from 28.00 to 40.00.we pay 151.00 in Illinois what do you pay in your state.

That's just for the plate when you buy a new car I assume?

I didn't catch all of it but iam assuming renewal fees every year.i do have a couple personal plates and there158.00 renewal fee every year.

$53.50 a year for plate renewal. Have to show proof of insurance and property tax receipt . personal prop. tax is reimbursed at income tax time.

Used to be cheaper till they started charging a wheelage tax that adds 20 bucks 64 bucks to put tabs on a 25 year old pickup.

No, because our renewal is more than what you posted. My truck is 100. I think cars are a little cheaper.

I think my f350 is around $240 a year. Triaxle dump was around $2000 last year. Probably more now.

Don't know where that info is coming from ... Wisconsin Auto and class A truck registration is $85.00/yr. Class B and up increase from there. Farm plates are half the regular cost of auto registration for a 2 yr period I believe. Custom plates are more expensive but I don't know how much as I don't have a need to be special. lol

That could be a transfer fee, when buying a car. Don't remember paying that fee, just the amount of sales tax on our used vehicle. $100 registration would probably be about right for a class B truck plate.

We have to pay tax based on the purchase price when you first register your car to get plates. Then you pay tax based on the value of that vehicle each year to get your renewal sticker that goes on the plate.
