Headed there on Thursday and staying there till Sunday . Does anyone have any experience with that area that can share some pointers on what to see and what to skip?

Busch Gardens puts on a decent Holiday light festival. You’d have to look up the hours.

Colonial Williamsburg has a lot of shops and restaurants, as well as history tours you can take. Google is most likely your best friend to pick and choose.

Pretty safe area overall. Not much else I can think to tell ya.

What gunnleg said, and if you like wineries. The Williamsburg Winery is decent and has a good restaurant.

It takes 2-3 days just to see Williamsburg. If you want dinner at any of the taverns you should make reservations. While there are 3 taverns, they usually only have 2 open in the off season.

Jamestowne is close and very interesting if you have time. Jamestown has 2 different areas, one is the location of the 1607 fort area, including growth until 1699 when the capitol was moved to Williamsburg. The other area is an interpretation of the fort, along with Powhatan structures.

Yorktown isn’t that far away as well if your interested in the Revolutionary War.

Some really great fishing on the coast this time of year.
