About ten days ago I fell when I went out on my deck. I was a bit sore but thought I'd heal. I made a supply run to Ohio and noticed my leg wasn't feeling any better. So I went to the emergency room this morning. I found out I have an oblique fracture in my fibula. I have an appointment with orthopedics on Monday. I'm probably done deer hunting this season. Sucks!!!

Not a good deal Paul. We old folks need to be more careful as those trips and falls do many of us in over time. Seems like I stumble a lot more these days. Take your down time with a sip of wine.

Wife slipped and landed on her leg and had a slight fracture they just booted it she got around fine.

I will never forget the kind offer you made me when I broke my ankle and leg. If I can do anything to make healing more pleasant please don't hesitate to ask. I am pain free now. Dont push it. It stinks I know to lay around like a fat hound dog but it's worth it.

I wiped out last year on ice. Left shoulder hit my running board on the way down. Feet were above my head. That was late Feb and I'm still hurting.
The older we get the longer it takes.

I would think a bit more skeeter pee will help.

When you're young, and you fall, you bounce up quick and look to see no one saw you fall...

When your older and fall down, you lay there and hope someone saw you, and will help you get up!, lol

Doc said he'll keep me in this boot for four weeks then put me in something else. I'm glad there's no cast involved. He said I can walk on it as much as I want to, as long as I'm have the boot on. He said to let pain dictate what I can do. At the emergency room they prescribed hydrocodone for pain, and I said there's no way I'm taking that stuff. Don't need it. Off to the shed to get some work done. Thank y'all for the prayers and well wishes.

Hopefully they can fix yours . Mine happened when I got tangled in the Mower while getting off .Then having it fixed and right back in emergency after a deer collision

Well Paul, if the doc says you can walk in that boot, your good to go. Just buy Rhonda one of those deer carts with the two bicycle tires on it. Just strap it to the top of her car, then go deer hunting. If you shoot a deer just call her and tell her to come get it. Yea, I know, wouldn't work for me either!
