Hard to find the 2 gallon size ones at least with lids that fit them. I checked a lot of places found the pails but no lids some of the food grade lids are as much as the buckets are. Lowe’s had the best deal that I came across $3 each for the buckets and $2 for the lids and they are blue. LOL

I was looking for something smaller to haul in supplies in on the cat foot line rather than a 5 gallon bucket that’s kind of bulky to carry in with the other supplies. Should be able to put 1 or 2 in my backpack and carry one if need to keep things separate that way. I keep lure/urine and pan covers waxed dirt stashed along the way to prevent backtracking when I need something.

I like the square green Menards buckets when I can find them at Menards but that’s hit and miss more miss than hit.

Those blue buckets are terrib!e , they don't like the cold that's for sure . crack very easily and when you take the lids off the top rim of the bucket peels off . Hope you have better luck than I did

I’ll give them a shot I can pack in dry dirt in a backpack with a coffee container if they don’t work. Ive had some of the clear totes do that just toss in a trap and a hole explodes in it.

I like the square green ones from Menards too. They were also food grade. I haven't seen them there in a long while. They do have a 3 gallon round bucket.

Are blue buckets legal in your state?

The ones that take the same lids as the 5 gal ones? It’s like the Mc Rib sometimes they have them they do make great waxed dirt buckets. I tried the gamma screw on lids but they sun rot so bad. Looked on line they still carry what look like the 3.5 green buckets.

We get a deer mineral made by Lucky Buck that comes in a 2 gallon bucket. Comes with a lid. These buckets last for years. The bottom of the bucket just saids RO PAK.. There's also a phone number, 1-800-362-3779. I Googled it and there's a company that makes all different containers, heavy duty ones, but I didn't find any buckets. I didn't call the number. The only trouble is you mite have to buy 50 or 100 of them. That's the best I can do.

Menards has a 3 gallon that is the same size as the top of a regular 5 gallon so they take 5 gallon lids they are just shorter. I like them for several things as sometimes 5 gallon are too tall.

I guess they are 3/5 the volume but about 2/3 the height

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I have found that if I ask nicely at the Cosco bakery, they will give me some of the 2 gallon frosting buckets with the lids at no cost. just have to remember to only ask for a couple or three at a time.
