A gal wants me to flesh and stretch the beavers she’s been catching. She also wants me to send them to the tannery. How much should I charge her minus the tannery fees.

It depends on what she looks like. Lady Beaver trappers are hard to find.
I have nothing clever to put here.

I was paying $5 for that some years back when beaver prices were good. At current prices it wouldn't work out.

Wow, that's a terrible hourly wage!
Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

In the past, I have sent salted beaver (not stretched and dried) to Moyles without any complaints from them. They turned out great. Flesh, lay flat, salt with fine non-iodized salt, fold in half, put on a slight incline, let drain for a day or two, shake off soggy salt, resalt another day or two, shake off salt, hang skin side out over a 2x4 for a few day to partialy dry a bit, fold them up and ship off to Moyles. Don't dry them so long that they get too hard. You may want to call Moyles before doing this just to make sure they are still okay with this. When I did it they sort of told me that they prefered this method, but don't advertise this because many people dont really know the salting process well enough. This will save you time and make shipping much easier.

Clean skin and stretch for $15, and I’ll personalize a video for $200

Just doing what I want now.

I'm not sure salting saves time, but it certainly may make shipping easier. You still have to flesh stuff and spend time salting and draining and semi drying. Not that hard to put minimal nails in a fleshed hide for tanning purposes. Done too many bears and capes to think this saves time.

I'm just not good at it in honesty. I don't mind skinning but I've always been bad at fleshing and put up.
