It does look like a nice one. Here in Ohio where I trap we have nothing close to that kind of wide open spaces. From the looks of your picture other then the wind, maybe, blowing toward that ground cover, what told you to place the trap there? In your past pictures there was most always something for the coyotes to relate too. A fence line or ground feature of some kind.

shoot and trap lots that have old injuries last year had a lady call me (who i know does not like hunting and trapping) asking if i could remove problem coyotes as she was seeing one a day in her yard and they just had killed her jack Russell so i show up sign everywhere catch a coyote first night this coyote had two messed up front legs and an old rip on its chest i figured must of been hit by a car anyways after catching him the sign disappeared and never caught another and have noticed similar patterns people who all of sudden start seeing coyotes or have one hanging around either its spring time and they have a new den site or the animal is injured
