Just wondering what a fellow would use as a base for a "Smear Lure " ? Looking for something tha'll stick to rocks, trees, etc....

Are you wanting you smear base to be a natural ingredient or man made?

Thick base with some very attractive oil mixed in.

what you want is a catfish cream (tar) what ever you put it on it will last the only way you can get off is for it to be chewed off i make my own but Grawes carries somthing very similar i have never used theres
but it should be like the product i make

Go down to the local store and buy some lard and mix in your oils.
