Need some ideas got permission to trap muskrat pond is 100yrds wide maybe 200 long steep banks lot of moss its the head of a spring found 2 runs today and one hole they had stuffed full of moss the guy wants me to get rid of as many as possible any tips besides the runs and the the pockets of moss? Rocky bottom very little mud for runs.

If runs are scarce and you kind find runs, digging pockets if possible or lure ona stick sets work well.

If the banks can be dug take your shovel and punch out a indentation at water level it doesnt have to be too deep and where you place the trap should be deep enough for the water to be about a half inch over the trap
then stick a piece of apple on a stick to plug into the indentation and touch the piece of apple with a couple drops of anise
be sure to secure the trap solid in case a coon shows up first and if possible run a slide wire drowner
