Nova, my 8 year old granddaughter went with me to check traps yesterday… at the very last set we had a coyote .
Although nova has literally seen tons of dead ones in the fur shed… this was the first time she got to see one alive and up close.
She was really excited….she handled it like a champ too when I dispatched it.

When we were climbing into the truck she said “ pawpaw, I hope we catch another one tomorrow “.

That’s the kind of stuff you can’t buy,,, moments like that..

2 possums and a coon this morning… she tried carrying one of the possums to the truck… lol. Too heavy.
Love her spirit and determination though.
Gonna put her in a trapper ed course sometime next. If she wants.
